CRICKET St Thomas Wildlife Park will miss major attractions for animals in a move that owners say will mean job losses are inevitable. Warner Leisure Hotels, owner of the park, announced its closure on Wednesday, September 30, to carry out remodeling work on the 45-acre land. The Cricket St Thomas Lakes and Gardens resort near Chard used to be home to hundreds of animals and birds. Families hoping to visit a wildlife park in Somerset show up at a hotel due to outdated road signs.
A charming little find in the countryside, Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park is home to many impressive animals in the English green. In 1994, in partnership with the BBC and Noel Edmonds, Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park became Crinkley Bottom and was announced as Britain's first television theme park.
