Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park will miss major attractions for animals in a move that owners say will mean job losses are inevitable. In a desperate attempt to escape the shadow of Blobby, the property of Cricket St Thomas was put on the market in late 1998 for £8 million. Cricket House, located on the hillside of the estate, overlooks Lake Tiddlers, which runs through the grounds. Marketed as Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park, the rolling countryside was home to all kinds of elephants, zebras and cheetahs.
After a major renovation and removal of everything related to Noddy, Cricket St Thomas became a hotel and a wildlife park. This site is not affiliated with, sponsored, supported or endorsed by Cricket St Thomas, Warner Hotels, Noel Edmonds, or Unique Group. A joke sign had been added to the official road sign for “Cricket St Thomas”, stating “Twinned with Crinkley Bottom”, which Somerset County Council disapproved and ordered to be withdrawn. Initially, the Taylors were excited about their contract, investing millions in transforming Cricket St Thomas into Crinkley Bottom.
