The hotel offers extensive entertainment, including nightly live performances and great food. Warner Leisure hotels, like Cricket St Thomas, offer adult vacations for travelers over 50 and I think they really serve this age group well. Inside the cricket house there are a handful of historic rooms that are in high demand, and if you stay in one of these, you can park right in front of the house on the gravel road.
In the 1960s, the house was purchased by the Taylor family, who developed the Cricket St Thomas Warner's ice cream brand and managed the farm as a wildlife park. The gardens around Cricket House are beautifully maintained, with grassy borders that run from the terraces on the ground floor of Hamilton restaurant to the orange grove. With more hotel buildings tucked away in the trees and beautifully landscaped gardens, this Warner leisure hotel is a relaxing yet bustling property and ideal for a short break for travelers over 50. Warner Leisure hotel getaways are geared toward 50+ travelers and are for adults only, so you won't find families with young children staying at a Warner hotel.
In 1998, the house and part of the estate were sold to Warner Holidays, who developed the hotel, keeping the historic Cricket House in its center and building modern wings in the garden that now house most of the 220 rooms and the leisure center.
